Ohrid · North Macedonia
Light-filled rooms and traditional craftsmanship in the heart of Old Ohrid — steps from the water.
The house
Villa Dudanov stands among the cobbled lanes of Old Ohrid, where white facades meet dark timber balconies in the architecture this lakeside town has perfected over centuries.
Inside, rooms are uncluttered and full of daylight. Outside, the lake — among the oldest and deepest in Europe — waits a short walk down the hill. We keep things simple on purpose.
The stay
Each room is finished with restraint — generous beds, soft light and space to put the world down for a while. Several open onto balconies framing the lake and the red rooftops below.

Beyond the door
Swim from quiet stone shores, sail into the blue, and walk to the church of St. John at Kaneo as the light turns gold. Ohrid keeps three million years of history — and rewards those who slow down.

A few notes from guests who stayed with us — each scored a perfect 10 on Booking.com.
Villa Dudanov's greatest strength is its location — just a few steps from the lakeside boardwalk, with easy walks to Kaneo Church, the old town and the best waterfront restaurants. All of the rooms have front-facing balconies over the lake. Ana was an exceptional host: in touch before arrival with clear instructions, and always available with recommendations.
Only a few steps from the beautiful Lake Ohrid. The room, bathroom and bed were all spotlessly clean and comfortable, and there is a small shared kitchenette for coffee or a simple meal. The owner, Ana, is a truly delightful person — very helpful and charming — and we parked free and secure right next to the villa. Highly recommend!
Ana is a great host — extremely helpful, cheerful and full of detailed tips on what to visit and the local restaurants where you can really enjoy good food. The room is sparkling clean, bright and comfortable. The location is wonderful: next to St. Sofia, on the walk to St. John of Kaneo, and minutes from the port. We would happily stay again next time we visit Ohrid.
